This Fleur de Lis Travertine Backsplash / Floor Medallion is handcrafted from Cafe Noche Travertine tile.  This backsplash / floor medallion includes a matching accent piece.  If you would like the accent piece to be made from contrasting Italian Smalti glass (available in various colors), leave a note at checkout.  The Smalti glass accent not recommended on floor medallions.  This mosaic back splash is made to be installed in a diagonal pattern, and mounted to a mesh backing for easy installation.

This Medallion may be used as a floor medallion or as a backsplash.

As with most of my products, this item may be customized.  Customizations can include different sizes, other types or colors of tile, or having it made straight (instead of diagonal).  Contact me to inquire about customizing this item for your project.

The overall style of the backsplash / medallion you receive will be identical to the picture.  However, it will be unique in the minor variances of color and pattern common in tile.  These are some of the characteristics that make your backsplash not only unique, but a work of art.

Please Note:  I craft my backsplashes and medallions in the order the order is received.  While it may be ready sooner, please note the estimated Lead Time (in the information bar near the top of this page) for your custom made medallion to be crafted and made ready for shipping.  If you need a firmer shipping date, do not hesitate to contact me at (832) 559-0107 and inquire.

Picture Note:  The customer who ordered the particular backsplash in these pictures requested that it be signed.  Your medallion will be unsigned unless you request otherwise.

About

The Crafting Process

I make each medallion sold on my website using a variety of manual and power tools. I start with the rough cutting of the fleur de lis, star or turtle. Next I grind smooth the edges till it is just right. I move outward from there until every piece is ready. Your medallion is then attached to mesh (or occasionally a backer board), carefully packaged, and shipped to you, ready for installation.
