      This collection of Texas Stars are made, in part, from wood look / wood plank porcelain and / or ceramic tiles.  I commonly make these stars utilizing the wood look tile within the points of the star as well as within the border.  Additionally, I use contrasting colors / shades between the left and right side of each of the five star points, giving the Texas Star a hint of a three dimensional look.  The background areas are normally made using contrasting tile.
