I have a small hallway between 2 bedrooms and am thinking of doing the hallway in a travertine stone. Currently the two bedrooms are carpeted and the hallway is an extension of the living room which is done in an engineered hardwood. the engineered hardwood in the living room and hall hs been discontinued so I cannot get the exact wood for the bedrooms so am using one similar but not an exact match. In order to not have 2 different types of woods butt up to each other, I thought about doing a natural stone hallway with a Texas star inlay. If I order the mesh inlay from you at 18”, what travertine and where do I buy it to get it to match the travertine in the star?
I have used several beige colored travertine tiles over the years to make this medallion. I used to make it from a tile sold at Home Depot that has been discontinued. Recently I have used tile from Floor and Decor, including or similar to Antique Catania Honed Travertine, Caria Honed Travertine, and Troia Light Honed Travertine tiles. May I suggest that you choose a travertine tile that matches or works well next to your wood flooring, then I could make your Texas Star medallion from that same tile. If your chosen tile is from Floor and Decor, Home Depot, or Lowes, I could then go and purchase that same tile for your medallion. If from somewhere else, you could ship a couple pieces to me from which I would make your medallion. Please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss this further. Thank you,
