This Fleur de Lis Floor Medallion / Backsplash will be handcrafted from ceramic and / or porcelain floor tile. This mosaic back splash is diamond oriented / made to be installed in a diagonal pattern, and mounted to a mesh backing for easy installation.

Tile Thickness: approx 9mm
Pictured Ceramic Tile types: Nitrotile's Mauritzzio Beige (has a travertine appearance) and Style Selection Caribbean Slate [Note: These tile types have been discontinued by the manufacturer - your medallion will be made from currently available ceramic or porcelain tile having a similar color and pattern to the tiles used to make the pictured medallion.)
Grout Spacing: averages 1/8"

This Medallion may be used as a floor medallion or as a backsplash.

The Crafting Process

I make each medallion sold on my website using a variety of manual and power tools. I start with the rough cutting of the fleur de lis, star or turtle. Next I grind smooth the edges till it is just right. I move outward from there until every piece is ready. Your medallion is then attached to mesh (or occasionally a backer board), carefully packaged, and shipped to you, ready for installation.
