This already made Fleur de Lis (Elegance Style) Marble Backsplash is made from Blue Forest and Sahara Carrara Marble tiles.  The Surround is in a brick pattern, with matching Sahara Carrara Marble Pencil tile for a simple, but elegant frame around the backsplash.  While the Fleur de Lis and the border frame are both made from polished marble, the background area is made from contrasting honed marble tile - the contrast between the polished and the honed further highlights the Fleur de Lis.  This complete Backsplash Medallion is attached to fiberglass mesh for ease of handling and installation.

The Crafting Process

I make each medallion sold on my website using a variety of manual and power tools. I start with the rough cutting of the fleur de lis, star or turtle. Next I grind smooth the edges till it is just right. I move outward from there until every piece is ready. Your medallion is then attached to mesh (or occasionally a backer board), carefully packaged, and shipped to you, ready for installation.
