This will be a custom-made, oval shaped mosaic glass medallion with "R" as described:

  • The overall size of this oval medallion will be 36" wide x 24" tall.
  • The size of the "R" will be 24" wide (when measured at the widest part on lower part of "R"), and approximately 17" tall.
  • To allow this 3' wide medallion to more closely follow the curved wall it is to be installed on, the medallion will be made from numerous mosaic glass pieces, creating a mosaic style crackle look, with no pieces exceeding 2.5" in width (although they may be taller).
  • The script "R" will have an overall look as shown in images and be made from custom fired white glass, with a subtle sparkle look.
  • The background oval-shaped area will be made from custom fired glass, dark blue in color (while there is some flexibility with the color of blue, it shall be lighter than navy blue, but dark enough to create a strong contrast with the white "R")
  • The completed medallion will be attached to fiberglass mesh.
  • Lead Time: please allow 5 to 6 weeks after payment of deposit for medallion to be completed and ship out

All items are packaged to provide maximum protection during shipping.

The amount I charge for shipping is automatically calculated based on UPS's present shipping rates and covers my cost for shipping, packaging materials, and my time. The higher shipping cost for some of my items is due to the item's weight and /or bulkiness.

Due to the weight of my products, all items are shipped either via UPS Ground (or upon request, FedEx Ground).

The Crafting Process

I make each medallion sold on my website using a variety of manual and power tools. I start with the rough cutting of the fleur de lis, star or turtle. Next I grind smooth the edges till it is just right. I move outward from there until every piece is ready. Your medallion is then attached to mesh (or occasionally a backer board), carefully packaged, and shipped to you, ready for installation.
