24" x 18" Mosaic Fleur de Lis Backsplash Mural

This Fleur de Lis Backsplash Mural is made of travertine, limestone, glass accents, and epoxy resin.  The fleur de lis itself consists of approximately 700 black pigmented limestone tesserae, with glass accent pieces randomly placed among the tesserae.  The band of the fleur de lis is made of two layers of these same glass pieces.  The entire fleur de lis is then encased inside clear epoxy resin, which protects the fleur de lis from any foods or liquids that might splash on it.  The fleur de lis can easily be cleaned with a wet kitchen towel or paper towel.  Additionally, the resin coating provides protection from being struck by kitchenware, as well as protection from stove top heat.

The surrounding mosaic fill and border of the backsplash is made of travertine.  This backsplash comes affixed to James Hardi backer board, and is fully grouted.  The travertine and grout were treated with a penetrating sealer with Microban to repel dirt and stains and resist mildew and mold.  Installation simply involves using a quality adhesive to glue the backsplash in place.

Size:  24" Wide  x 18" Tall  x  5/8" Thick (Fleur de Lis extends an additional 1/4" in front of surrounding travertine)
